COVID-19 policy
Physical therapists are deemed essential, per the Department of Homeland Security and under the State of Wisconsin “Safer at Home” order, in flattening the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic. We play a key role in keeping people out of the doctor’s offices and ER’s. We not only free up the medical teams to treat those impacted by COVID-19 but we also limit the exposure of those seeking the care of the physical therapist.
In order to serve you, Orlanu Therapies is dedicated to the health and safety of our patients and staff. We will comply with CDC-approved cleaning protocols. We will stay abreast of these measures while they are subject to change as new information is released from the CDC, State of Wisconsin Department of Health and other trusted sources.
For you personally,
Our treatment rooms have functional windows. During treatment sessions, windows will remain open to allow for healthy air circulation
Extra time will be scheduled between every patient treatment session to allow for added cleaning and sanitizing
You will be able to come directly into our office at your scheduled time
Both therapists and patients are required to wear a face mask covering both the nose and mouth. If you have any questions about this, please call us at 262-478-0750
One person at a time may arrive for their physical therapy treatment in our office. Please do not bring your friends or family. Under extraordinary circumstance, we will make arrangements for this
Please do not bring food or drinks or other personal items in the office
We ask that you wash your hands when you arrive in our office hand-washing area
Safer in office payment options are in place but we will continue to accept checks and cash payment
Please put on your mask before entering the office
Please wear an effective mask, one that fits snugly around the nose and mouth
The disposable 3-ply paper masks work well, as do the disposable KN95 or K95 masks, which are comfortable and cheap right now.
Note: fabric masks will not block the Covid virus unless they are treated to deactivate viruses and bacteria (example: the Livinguard masks.)
We all have the same goal: to stay healthy and help others stay healthy. It is important to me to stay well so that I can continue to help you. If I get sick, I cannot do my job from home, and my work is my privilege. If everyone who enters my office wears an effective mask, we will protect ourselves and each other.
Every day I see patients with chronic challenges and many older people, all who are at a higher risk for more severe symptoms should they get Covid, even with the vaccine and booster.
Please postpone or cancel your appointments if you feel unwell, experience cold, flu-like symptoms or have a fever.
Please, honor my two requests, for you, for me, and for all of us.
